Lesya Leonidivna Kovach
Research Scientist in the Department of Global Political Development Problems. Candidate of Historical Sciences. Decision of February 11, 2004.
She was born in Kyiv on March 25, 1976.
In 1999 she graduated from the historical faculty of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (specialty «History, history teacher»). Received a master’s degree with honors.
During 1999-2003 she studied at the postgraduate school of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Department of Ukrainian History and Ethnopolitics.
In 2003 she defended her dissertation on Ukrainian-Polish economic cooperation.
Professional activity:
During 1999–2003 worked as the teacher of Cultorology of geological college (now it’s a College of geological survey technologies of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv).
For 2002 – 2004 worked as the Assistant, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Humanitarian Disciplines of the Open International University of Human Development «Ukraine» (academic discipline: «Political Science», «History of Ukraine»).
Since 2003 and until 2007, she held the position of the Associate Professor at the Department of Sociology at the National Aviation University (concurrently). Taught disciplines: «General Sociological Theory», «Social Policy», «Social Technologies», «Sociology of Religion».
She has been working at Kuras Institute of Political and Ethnic Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine since 2004 as Research Assistant.
From January 1, 2013 and until now has been working at Kuras Institute of Political and Ethnic Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
Author of more than 60 scientific publications and co-author of 5 collective monographs.
Research interests: Political Science, regional policy, the language policy, Ukrainian-Polish relations.
