Leonid Leonidovich Kiyanitsa
He was born on September 27, 1988. He graduated from the Institute of International Relations of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (2011) with the Master’s degree in International Relations. In 2011-2014, he studied at the graduate school of the National University “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy”. He defended his dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Political Science on “The impact of the Arab Spring on the balance of power in the Middle East” in 2016.
In 2016, he worked as an Associate Professor at the Department of International Relations and International Information / International Relations and Public Communications of the Averroes Institute of International Relations and Linguistics of the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management.
In 2017–2019, L.L. Kyianytsia worked as Senior Lecturer, at the Department of International Relations, Information and Regional Studies of the National Aviation University.
He was an official opponent in the defense of a dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Political Sciences (specialty 23.00.04 – Political Problems of International Systems and Global Development).
In 2018, he participated in the activities of the Forum on Just Governance for Human Security (Caux, Switzerland).
Since 2019, he has been working as a Research Scientist at the Department of Global Political Development Problems of Kuras Institute of Political and Ethnic Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
Research interests: political transformations, regional studies, comparative political science, international conflicts.
