SYMYSENKO IGOR VITALIIOVYCH

Junior Research Fellow at the Department of Political Institutions and Processes.

Born on August 13, 1994, in Alchevsk.

In 2021, he graduated from the Faculty of History of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv with a master’s degree in “History,” and from the Faculty of Philosophy of the same university with a master’s degree in “Public Administration and Management.”

From 2021 to 2025, he pursued postgraduate studies at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. In June 2025, he defended his dissertation titled “Transformation of the Forms of Political Participation in Contemporary Ukraine” and obtained the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Political Science.

He has been working at the I. F. Kuras Institute of Political and Ethnic Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine since July 2025 as a Junior Research Fellow. Since October 2026, he has also held the position of Deputy Chair of the Council of Young Scientists at the I.F. Kuras Institute of Political and Ethnic Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

Scientific interest: political participation, the formation of political demand and supply, the role of institutional trust and social capital in the forms of political participation.
