On November 6, 2018, within the Practical Policy School founded by the Department of Political Science, the Chief Scientist of I.F. Kuras Institute of Political and Ethnic Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor Galina Zelenko presented a public lecture “Choosing the profession of a political scientist: political science in the world dimension” for the students, postgraduate students and teachers of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

On September 18-20, the IV All-Polish Congress of Political Scientists “Society in Times of Change” was held in Lublin. The Ukrainian Association of Political Sciences was represented by the Chief Scientist of the Institute, Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor Galina Zelenko, who during the plenary session read a greetings letter to the Polish colleagues from the President of the Ukrainian Association of Political Sciences Oleg Rafalsky. She also delivered a report entitled “External factors in the internal politics of Central and Eastern Europe”. In total, more than 700 participants from Poland and foreign countries took part in the congress.
On September, 20-23, under the auspices of the Ukrainian-Polish forum of partnership between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the Republic of Poland, the XI Ukrainian-Polish meeting: past, current and future was held. Traditionally, it was organised by the co-organisers – Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, the center of East European Studies of Warsaw University, I.F. On September 7-8, a two-day research and practical conference with international participation “Public administration and public service in Ukraine: state of issues and prospects of development” was held at the National Academy for public administration under the President of Ukraine.
On August 20-27t, the XVI International congress of slavists was held in Belgrade. The scientists from all over the world, including the representatives from European Slavic states participated in its work. A delegation from Ukraine was also represented at the congress, which included the members of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and teachers from leading universities.
On August 27, in I.F. Kuras Institute of Political and Ethnic Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, all-Ukrainian conference “27 years of independence of Ukraine: Achievements and Prospects for the development of the State Ethnonational policy” was held. The conference was organized by the Council of national communities in Ukraine together with I.F. Kuras Institute of Political and Ethnic Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
