Tetyana Anatoliyivna Bevz
Chief Researcher of the Department of Theory and History of Political Science, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor.
She graduated from Odessa I. I. Mechnikov National University (1989) with a degree in history, Kyiv Institute of Political Science and social governance (1992) with a degree in Theory of Socio-Political Relations, postgraduate studies at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (1995).
In 1995 she defended her Candidate’s dissertation on the topic: «Formation of the Ukrainian state during the Central Rada (March 1917 – April 1918)», and in 2005 – her doctoral dissertation on the topic: «Ukrainian Party of Socialists-Revolutionaries: organization, ideology, politics». In 2003 dhe was awarded the Academic title of Associate Professor of Political Science, and in 2014 – Professor of 23.00.01 «Theory and History of Political Science».
Member of the Specialized Academic Council for the Defense of Dissertations for the degree of Doctor (Candidate) of Political Science at the Kuras Institute of Political and Ethnic Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the Specialized Academic Council for the Defense of Dissertations for the Degrees of Doctor (Candidate) of Historical Sciences at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Scientific Secretary of the Specialized Academic Council D 26.181.01 at the Kuras Institute of Political and Ethnic Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (2015–2019).
She was a participant in fundamental research projects: «Political Encyclopedia» (2011), «Political Science in Ukraine» (2016); «Encyclopedia of the History of Ukraine» (2019).
She combines work at the Institute with teaching – since 1998 she has been working as a professor at the Department of Political Science of the National University «Kyiv-Mohyla Academy». Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine (2017). She was awarded a diploma of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the Central Committee of the Trade Union of Workers of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
Author of about 300 scientific papers on political science and problems of Ukrainian history.
Research interests: regional studies; regional political identity; regional political regimes; regional political elites, political parties; political history of Ukraine.
