Vladislav Olegovych Kovalevskiy
Senior Research Scientist, Department of Political Institutions and Processes, Philosophy Doctor of Political Science (ph.D), Senior Research Scientist.
In 2002 he graduated with honors from Donetsk National University with a degree in Political Science. At the same time he received a degree in “Business Economics” and “Law”. In the same year he entered the graduate school of the Institute of Political and Ethno-National Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, and in 2007 he defended his dissertation on “Information interactions in the political power field of the big city” in specialization 23.00.02 – “political institutions and processes@. Science. In 2008 he was awarded the academic title of senior researcher. Since 2017, he has participated in the process of licensing the graduate studies of the Institute and headed this area of studying.
He has been working at Kuras Institute of Political and Ethnic Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine since 2002. He worked as a junior researcher (2002), head of the Center for Information Technology Support of Research (2003), senior researcher (since 2009), head of graduate school (since 2017).
He did internships abroad, in particular in Poland and Lithuania.
Since 2009 – Executive Secretary of the collection of scientific papers “Modern Ukrainian Politics”. He is a member of the working group for the preparation of the Information Security Strategy of Ukraine. He is a member of the Presidium of the Association of Political Sciences of Ukraine, a member of the Association of Professional Political Consultants. Since 2018 – President of the public organization “International Strategic Center”.
He was awarded by the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the Administration of the President of Ukraine.
Since 2004 he has taught the course “Internet and Politics” at the Institute of Political Science.
Research interests: political and humanitarian technologies; research of information and communication processes in politics and society; concepts of political communication and interaction; system methodology of research of political processes; theory and practice of the global information society and democracy; national strategies for implementing theories of information society and democracy; philosophical and anthropological aspects of the information society; political culture and consciousness in the information society; information security of the individual in the modern era; election technologies and political consulting; Internet in politics, etc.
