The monograph examines the theoretical and practical aspects of the transformation of the political institutions in modern Ukraine. The methodological and theoretical principals of the transformation of political institutions in Ukraine are revealed, the interaction study of political institutions and civic society at the present stage of democratic development is carried out, the impact on the transformation of the political institutions of electoral processes, mass media and other factors of socio-political changes is analysed.
With the involvement of a wide range of sources, the variety of factors which influenced the political identities formation and development of the inhabitants in Donetsk, are examined. The particular attention is paid to the analysis of political identity specificity that was carried out by both central and local authorities in Donetsk and more widely – in the region.
The analytical report, prepared by the results of scientific and research work “The political aspects of the crisis in Donbass: status and directions diagnostics of the settlement” which was performed at I.F. Kuras Institute of Political and Ethnic Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in 2015.
