In the collection of scientific works, the most actual problems of modern political science are cleared up, the national researchers’ spectrum of scientific studies are represented.

In the monograph, the research into the phenomenon of corruption in political science, philosophical, historical, legal and other aspects, which provides an interdisciplinary approach, is realized. Systemic and structural analysis of the phenomenon of corruption in Ukraine is carried out, but a systematic approach is leading of all methodological approaches. The task of uniting the theory and practice in the anti-corruption drive is realized.

In the monograph, the political forces which became the mainstay of the Ukrainian state of the hetman P.Skoropadskyi are defined. On the bases of the wide range of the sources, ideological and organizational prerequisites of Hetman coup d’état April 29, 1918 are examined; the role of political parties in this process, their participation in the formation of a hetmanate governments are highlighted, policy basis and guidelines for action of governmental parties – the All-Ukrainian Union of landed proprietors, Protofis, cadets are discovered. The materials of the book open the vital and creative development of the talented scientist, the historian, the political scientist, the experienced organizer of the science, the first director of the Institute of Political and Ethnic Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Vice-President of NAS of Ukraine – I.F.Kuras. His public and political work, in particular, in the higher governmental organs – in the Cabinet of Ministers and Supreme Rada of Ukraine.

In the proposed research, attempts to analyze the social transformation processes in Ukraine comprehensively, starting from the second half of the XIX century to the present are made. First of all, it was found out that in the early XX century, Ukraine, being between the two most powerful continental empires – the Russian and Austro-Hungarian, being languid with foreign oppression, at the end of the same age, started to build up its own state, which united almost the entire nation.

In the monograph, the theoretical, methodological and practical aspects of politics through a prism of its scientific and mythological components’ interaction are studied. The essence of a political myth, its role in formation of political consciousness and political life is revealed. Specifics of modern development of Ukraine in a context of real polici and myth’s two – way influence are analyzed. The processes of political myths’ designing are given.
