The book describes the theoretical and methodological instruments of studying ethno-political processes in Ukraine and their regional specificity. The research results of historical conditions, political, economic, social, demographic, cultural, religious and other aspects of ethno-political regionalization of social space in Ukraine are presented. The conclusions about the tendency of modern ethno-political dynamics in Ukrainian society, its regional segments and ethno-political role of public management in the optimization of ethno-national relations and the national civil consolidation of political, poly-ethnic, poly-confessional, poly-cultural masses of the population are reasoned.
In this tutorial the theoretical and practical problems of formations and development of political institutions in modern Ukraine are presented, the peculiarity of political process in Ukraine in the conditions of state independence is characterized. The certain topics focus on the issues of theory and practice of Ukrainian multiparty political system, political elitism and leadership as important actors and institutions of the political process in Ukraine.
Culture problems of interpersonal and intergroup relations are fundamental to every society. In Ukraine, they have acquired special significance due to «disunity” cultural sphere, differently directed political orientations, the conflict interpretations in the system of historical thinking. In the monograph, on the basis of the program documents analysis of Ukrainian political parties, scientific and journalistic heritage of the iconic figures of the Ukrainian national movement, other sources, the idea evolution of the national self-determination in the Ukrainian social and political thought is examined. In the context of the Ukrainian-Russian relations, the author traces the transformation of the autonomist-federalist and independence movement in the political thought of the Dnieper Ukraine during the nineteenth – first quarter of the twentieth century.
The 8th volume deals with one of the most tragic pages in the history of the Ukrainians, Poles – implementation of the People’s Commissariat of Internal Affairs organs in 1937-1938 operating order PCIA USSR №00485. This repressive – punitive operation was one of the mass one in the time of “The large terror” 1937-1938.

In the monograph, the political forces which became the mainstay of the Ukrainian state of the hetman P.Skoropadskyi are defined.
